“I always knew I wanted to do a project with the animal shelter. I’ve always been an advocate for helping out animals in any way you can. The people at the Humane Society of Harford County have been extremely helpful and supportive of my project, and I wouldn’t have wanted to work with any other team. Before the fence
What did the Humane Society need?
At the Humane Society, we have numerous large dogs! We are fortunate to have the Society sit on a large beautiful piece of property. The volunteers love to take the dogs out for walks to give the pups some fresh air and exercise. However, there is a large slope that is about 10 feet away from the back of the kennels. These large dogs (in their excitement) have been known to pull volunteers down the hill! The Humane Society was in need of a fence to serve as a barrier to prevent injuries, keeping both the staff and dogs safe. So that’s what we did!
Creative Deck Designs provided the material at cost and gave us a significant discount for labor costs!
I raised over $3400 in 5 weeks, thanks to family, friends and other donors!

In total, we had 11 people working throughout the day for over 7 hours. It was worth it!
