Scouts Reach New Heights Together

From September 5th to 7th, Troop 1920 welcomed the Arrow of Light Scouts for a weekend adventure at Broad Creek. The AOLs camped with our troop, but cubs of all ranks had a chance to experience the excitement of Scouting alongside older troop members. This is our main cub scout recruiting campout of the year.

The weekend’s highlight was the climbing tower, where scouts tested their courage and coordination on high challenges designed for all skill levels. After securing their harnesses and helmets, the cubs and scouts cheered each other on as they climbed the tower. Troop 1920 scouts helped the AOLs and cubs, offering them encouragement and guidance.

Beyond the tower, the camp buzzed with activity. Cubs rotated through interactive stations including team-building games and outdoor skills challenges. The mix of fun and learning gave younger Scouts a taste of what lies ahead in their Scouting journey, while Troop 1920 had the chance to lead by example and build bonds with the next generation.

The weekend wrapped up with campfire stories, shared meals, and plenty of laughter and fun. When Scouts of all ages come together, the spirit of adventure is stronger than ever. Troop 1920 is so grateful for this opportunity!
