On July 4th troop 1920 helped march in the Bel Air parade carrying banners to celebrate Americas 250th. Everybody who was there was busy so we couldn’t get pictures. 🙂
we hiked over a thousand feet in elevation on Friday and we hiked back down on Sunday morning we went with our brother troop 313. All of us hiked up bull hill and got a pin for it. On Saturday we did a bunch of activities like the zodiac which was a boat race and
On April 17-19 troop 1920’s adventure club brought some scouts on a challenging camping trip to Old Rag as a bonus trip this month. We did a 9 mile loop with a 2300 ft elevation gain, with the final mile to the summit being a stretch of vertical boulder scrambles.
We planted a bunch of trees and in the process we got covered in mud. We also got some stickers and seeds and at the end we got a tree that we chose.
The Court of Honor was on March 26 everyone earned different badges almost all of us got the photography merit badge. We all worked really hard to get the badges we earned even the newer scouts.
Every scout learned new skills even the ones that had been there for awhile. They learned how to tie different knots like the square knot they also learned the difference between a granny knot and a square knot, they didn’t just learn knots they also learned first aid, they learned the Leave no Trace and
Troop 1920 did a lot at this camping trip we did two merit badges we all did citizenship in the community and then people could choose between art and camping. we also had an unplanned concert called Saturday night shenanigans with Dustin Baber and others.
It took us two days to do all of it together, we place the tags in January to let them know that they can help out and then we picked up the food people left outside their door for us in March. We had a lot of fun and we got to see new places.
