From November 11th to 13th, Troop 1920 got to experience the joy of Thanksgiving, but in the woods! Our Thanksgiving camping weekend with the Arrow of Light scouts was the perfect mix of outdoor skills, amazing food, and plenty of laughter. Even with Thanksgiving around the corner, these scouts showed up ready for adventure! This camping trip was a great way for Troop 1920 scouts to practice leadership and teach the AOLS now scouts skills and cooking. No Thanksgiving weekend would be complete without good food and gratitude. Troop 1920 and the AOLS worked together to prepare a hearty camp meal, the highlight of the trip. By the end of the trip, the scouts were tired, proud, and full of new memories. Thanksgiving camping with the AOLs was a wonderful way to wrap up the fall season. We’re excited to see them continue growing as they prepare for their transition into Scouts BSA. We ended the weekend feeling grateful for the outdoors, the friendships we’re building, and the chance to grow together.
